WSCC Holding Annual Fall Prevention Event

Walters State will be holding their annual Fall Prevention Event on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the Walters State Niswonger Campus in Greeneville. The free workshop is from 10 a.m.-noon and presented by students enrolled in Walters State’s Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physical Therapist Assistant programs.

Those that attend will receive individualized assessments of any potential fall risk, education on fall prevention techniques and handouts on possible home modifications.

Students will work under the supervision of occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.

While the fall prevention event workshop is geared toward the elderly, everyone is welcome to attend and no pre-registration is required.
