WSCC Offering Special Classes In February
Walters State will be offering a couple special classes in February. The first deals with those in supervisory positions at their jobs. Supervisor 101 is a two-day workshop focused on the essential areas of responsibility for supervisors. Debra Williams with Walters State says this class is great for both those who are new to the supervisors role and those who have been supervisors at their jobs for a long time. Five critical areas are covered in this workshop: communications, guiding work projects, leading workers, coaching employees for better performance and professional development as a supervisor. The cost is of the class is $399 and will be at the Niswonger Campus in Greeneville on February 11 and 18th.
The other special class is Parenting and Divorce, which is the state-mandated class for divorcing parents. These classes are offered through the Zoom videoconferencing platform. Parents will learn communications and parenting skills that can make the divorce process less traumatic for everyone, especially children. The cost is $60, and the class meets from 5:30-9:30 p.m. on Feb. 4 or 18.
