Single Vehicle Crash Leads To DUI Arrest
First responders were called to an accident over the weekend on Hwy 160 near Bybee that included a possible injury and leaving the scene. First responders from the Centerview fire department were first on the scene and told deputies that a man was spotted walking away from the single vehicle crash. The man from the wreck was finally spotted standing on a hillside off Hwy 160. He was 53 year old William Cameron of New Market. Cameron was clearly intoxicated and admitted to drinking bourbon whiskey. A bottle was not found in his vehicle, but he was taken into custody for DUI and for leaving the scene of an accident. Due to a prior DUI conviction, Cameron was supposed to have an Ignition Interlock Device on his vehicle which was not present.
