Gas Prices Remain High
Gas prices remain high around the area…in fact they are nearly 20 cents higher than just a month ago…and one of the things to yearn for from the year 2020 was the price of gas…it was $1.10 cheaper than it is now. AAA expects prices to stay high or maybe rise a little more for the summer….right now the national average is $3.04 a gallon and they say it could rise to an average of $3.10 a gallon over the summer months.
Gas prices in Tennessee range from $2.55 a gallon at its cheapest near Chattanooga to $3.49 a gallon in one spot in the state…a variance of 94 cents a gallon. Locally according to GasBuddy…prices in Cocke County range from a low of $2.68 to $2.82….Jefferson County is slightly higher ranging from $2.85-$2.89…Sevier County goes from $2.79-$2.99…
