Woman With Broom Arrested For Assault

Beware a woman with a broom. Morristown police responded to a home one King Avenue and a dispute between a married couple who are separated. David Hazelwood told officers he had come back to the house to gather a few belongings. His estranged wife Tasha wanted him to come back inside but wanting to stay out of a fight, he declined. He says that when she came out of the house armed with a broom and chased him around the backyard. He said he finally stopped and told her if she was going to hit him to just do it…so she did, she slapped him in the face and then hit him with the broom. Tasha Hazelwood claimed that her estranged husband had hit her first, but she had no marks to show it. David Hazelwood however had marks on his arms and neck and a knot behind his ear. Tasha Hazelwood was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
