Free Firewood For Older Sevier County Residents
The Sevier County Sheriff’s office in partnership with the TVA will again this year offer free firewood to Sevier County residents in need. This is for Sevier County residents who are either disabled or are 65 years of age or older and this is on a first come first serve basis. The Tennessee Valley Authority volunteer have donated their time to cut, split, and stack the firewood while deputies from the Sheriff’s Office have volunteered their time to load and deliver the firewood to each location that needs it. This program will start on November 15th. A form is available online to apply. Go to seviercountysherrif.com and click on the community resources tab to find the link to the “free firewood program”. This is for Sevier County residents only.
