Drug Bust in Cocke County Seizes Large Amount of Heroin

The Cocke County Sheriff’s department has taken more drugs off the streets with a major drug bust on Wednesday. Yesterday officers seized over 100 grams of heroin, and confiscated $6,000 in cash. Taken into custody were 39 year old Tracy Jones and 25 year old Josia Messer. Both have been charged with sale and delivery of schedule I narcotics…possession of drug paraphernalia…child neglect or endangerment…and Jones was also charged with tampering with evidence. Jones is currently in jail on a $50,000…Messer’s bond was set at $30,000.
