Woodson Road Closing February 14

The Newport Bypass project is getting under construction and Woodson Road will be closed as a result of that project. According to a spokesman for Blaylock and Sons, the contractor on that highway, Woodson Road is so small in the area of construction that there is no way they could keep the road open that would be safe for the public to travel on. Therefore the Cocke County Highway Department has announced that Woodson Road will be closed on Monday, February 14th and will remain closed till further notice.
