Injured Sevier County Deputy Improving

Good news regarding that Sevier County deputy who was injured in a car accident early Sunday morning. According to his wife, Deputy Jonathan Dodd is showing marked improvement and is currently undergoing speech and physical therapy. He is still hospitalized at this time, but he had a special visitor yesterday. His K-9 partner Toro was able to make a visit, both Deputy Dodd and K-9 Toro were glad to see each other. Toro was in the vehicle when the accident happened. Dodd was pursuing a vehicle that had taken off during an attempted traffic stop when his police cruiser collided with a truck pulling a trailer. The Sevier County Sheriff’s office is still working on identifying the driver of the vehicle that was being pursued.
