Both Tennessee Teams Advancing

The Tennessee Lady Vols are one win away from the finals in the Women’s College World Series. The Lady Vols survived their first elimination game last night when they defeated Oklahoma State 8-0. The Lady Vols will take on Florida State tonight at 7pm, that game televised on ESPN. A win and they advance to the finals aganist either Stanford or Oklahoma. The final best of three series begins Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.

While the women are close to the finals of their College World Series, the Tennessee baseball Vols are inching closer to a return to the women’s College World Series. Tennessee took down regional host Clemson in a game that lasted 14 innings on Saturday, then took down Charlotte for the second time in the regional final on Sunday. The Vols now advance to the Super Regional. The Vols will face either Penn or Southern Miss in the Super Regional which will get underway later this week.
