Detectives Investigate Overdose

Morristown police responded to a home Monday night on Scenic Drive about an unresponsive male in a home. When police responded, 25 year old Chelsea Smawley stated she had come home and found her boyfriend in the bedroom slumped over in their safe. She stated she pulled him out of the safe but he just fell over where police found him. Smawley told police that 33 year old Alexander Branson had begun using drugs again and she was afraid he had overdosed. Detectives were called to the scene along with the coroner who pronounced Branson dead. Detectives are investigating his death.
