Five Juveniles Cited For Shoplifting

Five juveniles were cited over the weekend for shoplifting at Wal-Mart in Newport. The five, three males and two females…ages 14-17 were spotted on July 4th pushing a cartful of merchandise out the front door without paying. The five then returned on July 10th and took even more items without paying. Wal-Mart loss prevention called police Saturday when they observed the same five teens enter the store again. The five attempted to take even more unpaid merchandise out of the store, but this time were stopped by a police officer. All five were cited for larceny under $1,000. Their parents or guardians were called to come pick them up.
