Gas Prices Up 10 Cents In A Week
If you go to fill up your tank this morning…it’s going to cost you a little more as gas prices have risen in Cocke County by about 10 cents this week. The average price for gas in Cocke County according to the AAA as of Friday morning, 2/9 is $2.78. That’s up over 10 cents since a week ago. However, you’re not going to find anything cheaper elsewhere.
Greene County has the same average price as Cocke County. However, Hamblen, Jefferson and Sevier Counties also have prices averaging around $2.85 a gallon for regular.
As of this morning the average price in Tennessee is $2.84. The lowest price in Tennessee is in west Tennessee in Henry County at $2.69. The lowest price in East Tennessee is in Claiborne County at $2.73.
The national average sits at $3.16. The lowest average price is in Oklahoma at $2.68. The highest is in actually now in Hawaii at $4.69…California is then next at $4.59.
