Home Rebuilding Assistance Available To Cocke County Via ASP
Flood victims that attended an expo Monday evening hosted by the Cocke County Long Term Recovery Group learned about home reconstruction assistance available to flood victims in three East Tennessee counties, including Cocke County. The Appalachia Service Project is utilizing funds being made available through the American Rescue Plan Act. Applications for home reconstruction are being taken by the ASP now through May 1. However, there are some strict criteria that homeowners have to meet to be eligible for assistance with this program. One of the criteria is applicants have to attend a meeting being held on April 14 at 6:30 pm in Elizabethton in Carter County. Those not living in Carter County can attend this meeting virtually by a link provided by the Appalachia Service Project. That meeting will identify qualified applicants and provide all the information that those looking to apply need to know.
The Cocke County Long Term Recovery Group will have information about this program at their next expo on Tuesday April 8 at Del Rio Elementary. Below is a copy of the ASP flier.
