Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department Hiring Officers

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department is hiring. The sheriff’s department looking to add some new entry level officers. Starting salary for a certified officer is $37,600 a year and that does not include overtime. There is a 3% increase in pay after a probationary period. Among the qualifications…you must be 21 years of age, possess a valid Tennessee drivers license, be able to pass an extensive background investigation, be able to successfully pass a medical and psychological exam, pass a drug screen, and you must be physically fit…that last one does Cody and I in.

Applications will be available starting this Monday October 18 through October 29th between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM at the police department in Dandridge.
