Josh Heupel Named Finalist For Prestigious Award
The accolades keep coming for the Tennessee Vols. Coach Josh Heupel on Tuesday was named a finalist for the 2022 Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year award. The award is voted on by the National Sports Media Association, current college football coaches, former Coach of the Year Award winners, the Bryant Awards’ Executive Leadership Team and the Bryant family. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, January 11th. Heupel in just his second year at the helm guided the Vols to a 10 win season, a final #6 ranking in the AP College Football poll. If the Vols defeat Clemson in the Orange Bowl on December 30th…they will finish the season with 11 wins for the first time since 2001.
