Man Arrested For Drug Sales At Food City

A man is in jail after selling narcotics at Food City. Newport police were tipped off that 57 year old Donald McCoy was selling Methamphetamine and was meeting a woman at Food City West to deliver the drugs. Officers observed McCoy sit down at a table inside Food City with Keisha Cross. Officers approached McCoy and due to him having a history of weapons, patted him down. That resulted in the discovery of a bag containing a rock-like substance believed to be the methamphetamine. Officers then went to the Chevrolet Malibu that Mr. McCoy had driven to Food City. Inside the drivers door, officers found a bag containing methamphetamine. All total, police seized 105 grams of meth. McCoy is now charged with Manufacture, sale, delivery or possession of schedule II narcotics.
