Man charged In One Car Accident

Police responded to a one vehicle crash on McSween Springs Road Sunday night. When officers arrived they found a black Ford Ranger pickup on its side with the sole occupant, the driver, still inside. Officers were able to help the driver out of that vehicle, he was identified as 30 year old Edward Centers, who was so intoxicated he could not begin to perform field sobriety tasks. Centers refused any medical attention. His blood alcohol level was at .24. Centers was arrested and charged with DUI plus cited for failure to exercise due care. Police say he failed to correctly negotiate a curve, causing that accident.
