Woman Stabs Man With Key At Wal-Mart

Newport police were called to Wal-Mart Sunday afternoon about an assault that took place on their property. Witnesses stated that the offender and the victim left in a white Chevy Impala. A short time later police found that Impala behind Walgreen’s. Inside were the driver, 22 year old Clara Cupp and the passenger 26 year old Dominic Lee Brown who had fresh blood on his shirt. Brown told officers that he and Cupp had gotten into an argument over money and Cupp had stabbed him in the chest with a key. Brown had a puncture would consistent with that story. Cupp was arrested on the scene and was charged with aggravated assault.
