Man Jailed For Being Drunk On His Porch

A man was arrested Sunday for disorderly conduct…at his own home. Police were called to a home at the corner of Woodlawn and Freeman Avenues. Someone had called 911 about a man yelling in his yard. That man was 34 year old Christoher McFalls who admitted to being outside yelling, but because someone was on his property. McFalls had been drinking was clearly intoxicated. He informed police that he could be drunk on his own front porch. Officers pointed out that he was correct, as long as he was not disturbing others. McFalls was advised to just go inside his home, but he informed police they could not tell him what to do on his property. After advising McFalls twice more, the last time McFalls responded with an expletive and a “get off my property”.

Wrong thing to say. McFalls was arrested and taken to jail charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
