Man Leads Cocke County Deputies On Chase

A man who was wanted on felony warrants in Greene County led Cocke County Deputies on a chase through some back areas of Cosby Tuesday afternoon. 35 year old Keenan Murphy was first spotted in a white Cadillac Escalade heading southbound on Cosby Hwy. A pursuit began which went onto Ball Park Road in Cosby, then Murphy made his way on gravel roads to Bogard Road and finally onto Yellow Breeches Road on English Mountain. Murphy’s vehicle became disabled with flat tires and he took off on foot. Murphy was finally spotted by deputies about 30 feet up a tree. Murphy surrendered and came down where he was taken into custody. He’s being charged in Cocke County with evading arrest and reckless driving.
