Morristown Man Assaulted With A Machete

Police in Morristown responded to a case of aggravated assault Sunday. 56 year old Michael Carter said he went over to an apartment on North Henry Street to see a friend. Carter said that he encountered 40 year old Clifford Christian who during a verbal confrontation pulled a machete from his hip and swung it at Carter striking him in the stomach. Carter said he ran home and called police. Clifford Christian was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
