Police Called To Fairgrounds For Fights
There was a demolition derby at the Cocke County Fairgrounds Saturday evening, but all the action was not with the cars. Police were called to the A&I Fairgrounds due to a group of people fighting. The event staff at the fairground told police they had asked the group fighting to leave, one of group, 42 year old Todd Davis, attempted to interfere with police in a threatening manner. Davis was arrested for disorderly conduct. Police remained on scene to maintain order while still there, derby officials tried to eject one of the drivers…21 year old Allen Casteel. He refused to leave. Casteel them became confrontational with police officers and was then also taken into custody for disorderly conduct.
