Sales Tax Holiday On Groceries This Summer
Later this year, you will be able to save a little bit of money at the grocery store checkout. As part of the state’s budget for 2022-2023, Governor Bill Lee has called for a sales tax holiday for groceries. That will be a 30 day suspension of the sales tax on all groceries coming up this summer. Some shoppers are not happy with the sales tax suspension saying that 30 days in not enough especially with the spiraling out of control prices consumers have seen over the past year. The 30 day sales tax holiday on groceries will take place in August.
