Man Injured In Crash With Train In Hamblen Co.
A man was airlifted to Knoxville last night after his vehicle collided with a train. The accident happened in Hamblen County near the Hawkins County line. One man was inside the vehicle that was struck by the train around 8:30 Sunday night. The man injured was flown by Lifestar to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville. His condition is not known. Hamblen County Sheriff Esco Jarnagin said the train crossing was near a private drive and farmland. Two cars had pulled out of that private drive. The first car made it across the tracks, but the second did not. That crash in under investigation with the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
