Student Arrested In Jefferson Co For Making Threat Against School
A student has been arrested after making threats against a school in Jefferson County. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office says that administrative staff at the middle school received a phone call about a threat against the school. School officials along with the School Resource Officer immediately began an investigation. Investigators with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Jefferson City Police Department assisted in this investigation which resulted in charges being placed on a male student for making a threat of mass destruction on school property. The sheriff’s office says that at no time, was the safety of students or faculty in jeopardy. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, this is the ninth person arrested this school year alone for making threats against a school.
