Trailer Broken Into At Loves Travel Center

Newport police were called out to Love’s Travel Center Sunday night. A truck driver reported his trailer had been broken into. The driver told police he had parked at Love’s to sleep at the rest area to the right side of the travel center. He stated that he felt his truck begin to shake and he stepped out from the cab. Upon walking to the rear of the trailer, the driver found someone had opened the trailer and the merchandise he was hauling for Mainstay Cube Organizers had spilled onto the ground…although all of his cargo was accounted for. Love’s travel center employees stated there aren’t security cameras that cover that portion of the parking area so police have no suspects.
