Two Bodies Found Dead In Greene County Identified

Two bodies found dead at a Greene County residence last week have now been identified. Greene County deputies had been called to the residence in Chuckey last Thursday afternoon where they found a woman dead inside the home. She had been identified as 69 year old Roberta Welch Peters. Investigators from the Greene County Sheriff’s office and the TBI then searched the property with a K-9 officer and later found the body of a male subject who has now been identified as 50 year old Thomas J. Welch. He was found in a wooded area behind the home. The bodies were sent off for an autopsy last week. No further information is being released as the case is under investigation.
