Two Faulty Members Suspended From ETSU
Two faculty members of East Tennessee State University have been suspended from their jobs after social media posts they made after the assassination of Charlie Kirk in Utah Wednesday. Andrew Herrmann and Russ Brown are the two educators that were suspended.
ETSU is not saying much, stating that they do not comment on personnel matters. Tennessee state Sen. Bobby Harshbarger (R- Kingsport) posted on Facebook that ETSU had placed “the two faculty members on administrative leave following their reckless comments about Charlie Kirk, pending a full investigation”. Herrmann supposedly made a comment on social media implying that Charlie Kirk had it c9oming. Harshbarger wrote on his Facebook page that faculty who engage in that kind of rhetoric have no place leading our classrooms or shaping the next generation.
