Update On Jobs4TN.Gov Website

The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development has provided an update on their Jobs4TN.gov website. That site has been down since last Sunday. We learned yesterday that the reason for the outage was a cyber attack. Geographic Solutions, the company that manages the site, was hit by a cyber attack over the weekend taking down the unemployment sites for 36 states including Tennessee. The company is still working to repair the damage. Applying for benefits on the site has been halted due to the crash, as well as those currently on unemployment not able to do their weekly certification. The Tennessee Department of Labor had no backup plan in place. They hope the system is backup by Sunday or Monday.
