Vols Dollander Selected In MLB Draft Top 10
Just a few weeks after getting bounced out of the College World Series, the Tennessee Vols had one of the players taken in the top 10 of the MLB draft. Last night in Seattle, pitcher Chase Dollander heard his name called as the Colorado Rockies selected him with the 9th overall pick of the draft. Dollander, who transferred to Tennessee from Georgia Southern was 7-6 record this season with a 4.75 ERA. In 2022, though he was 10-0 with an ERA of 2.39 and was the SEC Pitcher of the Year for 2022. Being selected in the top 10, Dollander became the highest Vol pitcher selected in the draft since Steven Raines in 1971.
