Woman Charged With Possession

Newport police performed a traffic stop Tuesday on a Nissan Xterra. The driver was 53 year old Karen Stewart who was driving on a revoked license. A search of her vehicle revealed a black bag which contained a meth pipe and a bottle which contained 9 grams of methamphetamine. Another glass bottle was found which had 4 grams of heroin inside. Stewart has been charged with possession of both schedule I & II narcotics.
