Smoky Mountain Rainbow Bridge & Garden Grand Opening September 14 2pm
The Smoky Mountain Humane Society in Newport has announced the completion of their new Rainbow Bridge & Gardens. A grand opening is planned for September 14 at 2pm. The construction of the Rainbow Bridge & Gardens was made possible by donations to the project, which included materials and labor. Plus commemorative bricks were also sold to help raise the funds for the project.
At the Smoky Mountain Rainbow Bridge & Gardens you’ll be able to place the collar or tags of a pet on the Rainbow Bridge in their remembrance. You can also stroll through the pet-themed gardens, listen to the chimes and talk with others who have suffered similar losses of their four-legged companions. The smoky Mountain Humane Society believes with the traffic coming through Cock County, the Rainbow Bridge & Garden will be visited by travelers to the area as well. There are still commemorative bricks for sale that will include a tribute to your lost pet. These can be purchased during the grand opening event but also are available online by going to the website :
