GCSO Investigating Double Homicide

A Greene County man is being charged with murdering his parents. On Friday, Greene County deputies were dispatched to a home on Hartman Lane, on the southwest side of Greeneville. Upon arrival, deputies found 68 yr old Cassandra Wilhoit and 60 yr old Ray “Allen” Wilhoit deceased. Their son, 35 yr old Jessie Wilhoit, was taken into custody without incident. No further details are being released as the investigation into this double homicide is ongoing. Jessie Wilhoit is charged with two counts of 1st Degree Murder. His bond was set at $2,000,000. He is set to be arraigned in Greene County Sessions Court Monday morning, October 28, at 8:30 am.
