Parrottsville Fire Dept Looking To Help Out Fellow VFD
Several Volunteer Fire Departments in Cocke County were adversely affected by the recent flooding disaster. The Parrottsville Volunteer Fire Department lost one of their trucks in the flood and were fortunate to be gifted a replacement truck by another department. Now the Parrottsville Fire Department is looking to pay it forward by helping another local department.
The Del Rio area was hard hit by the recent flood and that includes the Del Rio Fire Department. The Parrottsville Fire Department is looking to supply the Del Rio department with a functioning tanker truck to supply water where there are no fire hydrants, as those are few and far between in the Del Rio area. That truck however is in need of repair as it is needing a power steering pump. The department has someone that will fix it, but parts and labor are going to cost $1,500. So, the Parrottsville Fire Department is accepting donations to help with the cost of repairing this truck, so it can be donated to the Del Rio Fire Department. If you can help out, your donation is tax deductible. Checks can be made out to “Parrottsville Volunteer Fire Department” and can be dropped off at the fire department, or mailed to:
