Greene County Man Shoots Father

A Greene County man is in jail after police say he shot his own father. Deputies were called to a home in Chuckey and found an intoxicated man, Dustin Strong, sitting on the home’s front porch. He told deputies he had been shot five times, but had not bullet wounds. However, when they checked on Strong’s father, they found he had indeed been shot. The father says he stepped out on the home’s back porch to yell for another relative when he herd a gunshot come from the shed where his son stays. The man says he looked down and realized he had been shot in the hand. A 12 gauge shotgun was found at the scene with an empty casing inside. A loaded .22 rifle was also found at the scene. Dustin Strong is charged with aggravated domestic assault and felony reckless endangerment. He also had domestic assault charges on his record from earlier this year and was not to be in possession of a firearm, so he is also charged with violating a court order.
