TN Vols Stay At 6 In Latest Top 25 Poll; Lady Vols Drop
The latest AP Top 25 poll was released on Monday, and even with a 76-75 loss to Vanderbilt on Saturday, the Tennessee Vols stay at the same spot of last week, #6. Auburn remains at #1, getting all votes for the top spot. The Tigers are followed by Duke, Iowa State, Alabama and Florida at #5. Kentucky comes in at #9, dropping a spot after a loss to Alabama.
Other SEC teams in the top 25, Texas A&M and Mississippi State are 13 & 14, Ole Miss is at #16, Missouri is at #22, with Vanderbilt and Georgia bubbling just under the top 25.
The Tennessee Lady Vols did fall in the Women’s Top 25. The Lady Vols moved down two spots to #17. The top 5 are UCLA, South Carolina, Notre Dame, USC and LSU. Other SEC teams in the top 25, Texas is at 7, Kentucky at #11, Alabama is at #19. Just like in the men’s poll, Vanderbilt is bubbling just under the top 25.
The Tennessee men face Mississippi State tonight at Food City Center. Tip off is at 7pm. That game will be streamed on ESPN.com. The Lady Vols travel to Texas on Thursday.
