Two Dead In Gatlinburg Fire Identified
Authorities in Sevier County are still investigating what caused a fire on Saturday that destroyed the home of a Gatlinburg police officer. The Sevier County police department has revealed that the daughter and father in-law of the police officer are the two people that were killed in that blaze on King Branch Road near the spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Prayers are being asked for that officer Robert Frederick who is in critical condition at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Officials say that Frederick was severely injured when trying to save members of his family from that blaze. Neighbors have reported that there were several explosions that came from the house after the fire started.
The Sevier County Sheriff’s office is investigating that fire along with the TBI.
