Dollywood Opens 40th Season By Teasing Attraction For 2026
Dollywood opened its 40th season over the weekend. Dolly herself was there on Friday to welcome season pass holders to the park that bears her name. While at the park, Dolly and Dollywood Company president Eugene Naughton revealed that Dollywood was working on something special for the 2026 season.
They did not unveil many details, only a promotional video teasing the upcoming attraction. The video gave just a little glimpse of what was to come by saying, the new attraction will go over and through the Great Smoky Mountains and down to the heart of the ancient wildwood tree. The video finished by saying “follow the light to discover the unexpected” and asked the question “what will you find when the sun goes down?”
Dolly says the new attraction is the biggest venture ever undertaken in Dollywood’s 40 years of operation. She went on to note that it is also the most expensive. We are sure to learn more about this project throughout the 2025 season at Dollywood.
