Swift Water Rescue Utilizes New Zodiac In Successful Rescue

The Cocke County Swift Water Rescue Team was called into action on Tuesday. Greene County authorities called about a dog that was clinging to a pile of debris in the middle of the Nolichucky River. This was the first rescue performed with the Swift Water Rescue team’s new Zodiac boat that was a gift to the Cocke County Emergency Management Agency from the Gary Sinise Foundation. The dog was rescued successfully and it turns out the dog belonged to a first respondcer in Cocke County.
