Six Injured In Parkway Accident In Gatlinburg

Six people were injuured after a traffic accident on the Parkway in Gatlinburg Sunday afternoon. Multiple vehicles were involved in the accident that happened around 4:15 Sunday afternoon between stoplights 6 & 8 in downtown Gatlinburg. Three of the six injured were flown to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville. The three others were transported to the hospital via ambulance. The Parkway was closed down for hours while that accident scene was cleared. The Parkway finally re-opened around 10:30 last night. No other details are being released about that accident at this time. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is assisting the Gatlinburg Police Department in the investigation into that accident
