Thieves Strike Twice At Lowes In Newport
A pair of men got away earlier this month with a welder from Lowe’s. Management at Lowe’s on Epley Road sdaid the two men a entered the store and loaded up a 140 Pro-MIG welder. The two men then flashed a false receipt at the cashier, before exiting the store without paying for the welder, which was valued at $699. Management also stated that one of the male suspects was present during a previous shoplifting incident at Lowe’s.
That incident happened in May when the man came into the store, and loaded into a cart three Gunvalt safes and one Multi Vault safe. As with the case in June, hte man walked by a cashier and flashed a false receipt before walking out of the store. The total amount in that case taken came to be just under $550.
The two men have not been identified at this time.
