CCSO Investigating Body Found In Hartford

The Cocke County Sheriff’s office along with the TBI are investigating a body found in the Hartforf area earlier this week. According to Sheriff CJ Ball, at about 4:30pm Monday afternoon (6/23), deputies were called to the 3000 block of Messer Branch Road about a vehicle blocking the roadway. There was no one in the vehicle, but after searching around the area, deputies found the body of 41 year old David Jacob Schaub. His deceased body was found a short distance away from the vehicle in a wooded area.
The body has been sent off for an autopsy to be performed. Sheriff Ball says this is an active and ongoing investigation. Anyone who has information about David Schaub’s death should call the Cocke County Sheriff’s office at 423-623-6034, or contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
