Narcotics search Warrant Executed

The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, working with the Newport/Cocke County Joint SWAT Team and the Criminal Investigations Division, executed a narcotics search warrant Friday at a Newport residence.

The warrant was carried out at the home of Martin Keith Ball on Stonewall Jackson Drive, following an investigation into methamphetamine sales.

Inside the home and a shed on the property, officers found more than two pounds of marijuana, six and a half grams of methamphetamine, Suboxone pills, Xanax bars, digital scales, and other items used to package drugs for resale.

Ball was arrested and faces multiple charges, including possession of meth and marijuana for resale, along with possession of Schedule III and IV drugs and drug paraphernalia.
