Tennessee Retains Top 15 Ranking After Loss

Tennessee’s loss to Georgia in overtime Saturday did not drop UT in the latest Top 25 poll. The Vols took the lead over Georgia with about 9 minutes left in the game, but Tennessee could not close things out. A last second field goal in regulation went wide right and the game went to overtime. Georgia won 44-41 in overtime. The Vols near victory against the Bulldogs kept them at #15 in this week’s Top 25.

Ohio State, Penn State and LSU remain the top 3 teams. Miami up to #4 and Georgia moves back up to #5. Other SEC teams…Texas dropped to #8 while Texas A&M moved up to #10. Oklahoma is at #11, Ole Miss, Alabama and Tennessee are at 13, 14 & 15. Vanderbilt, who manhandled South Carolina in Columbia Saturday night debuts at #20. Auburn and Missouri are at #22 & # 23.
