Cocke County Fire Department Respond To Camper Fire
The Cocke County Fire Department responded to a camper fire on Thursday. Firefighters and police arrived to see flames coming out of the roof from the inside of the camper. The owner, Richard Gregory, stated that he had recently spent $30,000 remodeling and restoring the RV, which was estimated to be worth around $40,000. Gregory told the sheriff’s office that the camper had been parked in his driveway for about a month and he had kept electricity running to it for air conditioning and the appliances inside. The Cocke County Fire Department says they believe the fire started in the bathroom of the camper, which is where the electrical panel is located.
