SPD Identifies Man Whose Body Was Found In River

The Sevierville Police Department has released the name of the man whose body was found in the Little Pigeon River Sunday evening. Police say that the body is that of 58-year-old Richard Myers, of Sevierville. Investigators say that Myers was evidently riding a bike on the Greenway when he left the greenway and landed in a rocky embankment between the river and the greenway. That caused him to suffer deadly injuries. Investigators say they do not suspect foul play was involved, but the case is still under investigation.
