Cherokee Orchard Road In Gatlinburg To close For Repairs

If you work in Gatlinburg, something you ned to be aware of. CHEROKEE ORCHARD ROAD IS SET TO CLOSE FOR EMERGENCY SLOPE REPAIR BEGINNING ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 22.

The city of Gatlinburg and the Gatlinburg Police Department say that the slope failure is located in the 500 block of Cherokee Orchard Road. Construction crews from Blalock Construction, who were awarded the emergency repair contract, will start construction on Monday.

Cherokee Orchard Road will be closed to all traffic between its intersection with Baskins Creek Road and the intersection of Cherokee Orchard Road and East Holly Ridge Road/Circle Drive. Officials say they expect construction to last for about two weeks.
