Newport /Cocke County EDC & Cocke County Partnership Meeting Thursday

Tomorrow evening at 5:30 the Newport /Cocke County Economic Development Commission and the Cocke County partnership will have their board meetings at Newport City Hall.

Part of the agenda for the EDC meeting will discuss placing Rural Medical Services CEO George Barton as a new member to replace Jamie Phillips on the board. Locas Graham will also give the EDC Staff report.

The Cocke County partnership in their part of the meeting will be looking at adding and subtracting some members from the Partnership…the additions to be discussed include The Farmacy-Shannon’s Trading Post…Big Creek market…and the law office of J. Derrick Whitson. Among the subtractions to be discussed will be removing Cosby Creek Cabins, ServoPlex IT Services and Tusculum University.
