Mobile Food Distribution October 28
Second Harvest Food Bank will hold a mobile food distribution in Cocke County on Tuesday, October 28th at the Cocke County Fairgrounds starting at 10am. The event will provide free groceries to local families facing food insecurity.
The distribution comes at an especially important time, as the federal government shutdown could soon impact SNAP benefits. Second Harvest officials say the mobile pantry helps ensure families have access to essential food supplies, even if government assistance is delayed or reduced.
The food distribution is open to anyone in need. You are asked to arrive at 10am, rather than before start time. Volunteers will help load boxes of food directly into vehicles.
